Our History

Barbara & George Sr always had the “collecting bug” and formalized it when they founded MidMod Decor in late 2013. Their intent was to share their love of Mid-Century Modern and Danish Modern furniture with others. During the first few years, the business operated entirely online with a small warehouse space in Port Richmond, Philadelphia—within a mile from the neighborhood where George Sr. grew up. In the spring of 2019, George Sr. passed away, but his impact on the business and those he loved endures. MidMod Decor continues to move “full-steam ahead” in its current form and is now operated by Barbara and her son George Jr. Today, MidMod Decor is at it's third location with over 4000sq/ft of space located in Wyncote, PA just minutes north of Philadelphia.
