Love the composition in this 1950's painting by Gertrud Schumm. Gertrud was married to – more known artist –Fred Schumm. The two met and fell in love at Sculpture Center in New York. This and the other works we have by Gertrud were pulled out of her cottage in Cresco, PA which coincidentally was gifted to the Schumm's by Sculpture Center and had previously been used for artist residencies.
